Topics covered this time around included Modern Arnis' double and single stick progressions, anyo (form) applications, empty hand anyo and applications as well as his blend of Non-Classical Wing Chun, Muay Thai and Kuntao from his much revered Renegade JKD curriculum.

If you haven't yet had the opportunity to train with Datu Worden then you really are missing the chance to experience another dimension of Martial Arts. Datu posseses the ability to extract funtionality from ANY martial arts dicipline. He provides insight into classical systems and carries a depth of knowledge that could only be seen as a form of genius. Flexible Weapons Seminar

The Cochrane Martial Arts Center recently held a seminar featuring the use of flexible weapons, namely the nunchuku, instructed by Stephen Tripney. The saturday afternoon 4 hr seminar proved to be a popular event with two sold out classes. The children's class focused mainly on twirling, chambering and switches. With 20 kids in attendance you could imagine the energy in the room! They had a blast!

The adult class, also with over 20 participants involved, were given a more combative and realistic approach to the nunchuku. Striking in long, medium and close range were addressed as well as dealing with the nunchuku as a multi-tool. Multiple applications were taught as well as grabs, throws and chokes.

Thank you everyone for coming out! Look forward to more specialty seminars in the near future!
