Water And Steel Camp '07

Another year has passed!!! It is hard to believe camp came and went again so quickly but as it is every August long weekend Water and Steel went OFF! There was a certain energy in the air this time. One of newness. New ideas, new beginnings, new direction, new spirit. NSI as an organizatin is growing and the players involved have the talent, mindset and persistence to expand and make it a world leader of progressive martial arts!



The format this year was incredible! Single/double stick, silent fighter, sword/dagger, stick/dagger, machette, staff, open hand, kuntao, kickboxing, stick/knife sparring, anyo, chi sao, non-classical kung fu, and more! Such a steep learning curve and so much to take in it's no wonder people come from all corners of the US and Canada for this amazing experience.

This was my 4th camp to date and they continue to get better and better. The progression continues forward momentum across the board. The food, lodging, instruction, atmosphere, talent, energy and skill all continue to up the bar year to year!



Like every other year there are the veterans of the NSI game and the new players the get involved. This year, however, it brought out some new talent with exceptional skill but who were also great people period! When the training ends for the day the relationships off the mat flourish. Solid individuals make up the NSI brotherhood.
